◙ 100%
accuracy guaranteed - Automatic GCMS confirmation is done on all initial
positive results, virtually eliminating any false positives
◙ Cutting edge
technology detects adulterated or otherwise unsuitable specimens
◙ Chain of
Custody documentation and security seals insure sample integrity and legal
validity of test results
◙ Technically
advanced instrumentation insures rapid reporting time - negatives are reported
within 24 hours; confirmed positives are reported within 48 hours (DOT and HRS
reporting may vary)
◙ Detection
levels are the widely accepted industry standards for substances of abuse.
Results below the detection limit are reported as "negative"; results above are
reported as "positive"
◙ Random
selection programs are available for employers that subscribe to random drug
testing.
Types of Drug Testing:
ORAL FLUID DRUG test
.... A laboratory-based testing process that detects the presence of
five (5) drugs in the saliva: Marijuana - Cocaine - Amphetamines -
Methamphetamines (Ecstasy) - Opiates (including hydrocodone / hydromophone) -
PCP
The donor totally controls the 2-4 minute
specimen collection, eliminating any challenges in the collection process.
The "collector" simply serves as a "direct" observer and assists briefly in the
completion of the "chain of custody" form.
Detection of drug use may range from 1-2
hours up to 2 days of ingestion / use.
In addition to validity testing to
determine if the specimen is human saliva, no adulterants have been found to
date that will "beat" the test. "Negative" test results are reported
within 24 hours; "positives" confirmed by GCMS are reported within 72 hours.
Q.E.D. ORAL FLUID ALCOHOL test .... A reliable,
fast, and simple method for on-the-spot quantitative detection of alcohol.
DOT approved, the disposable Q.E.D. test can be used as an accurate screen in
place of blood tests, and has demonstrated a high correlation to blood samples
analyzed by gas chematography.
The donor controls the saliva collection
and the "collector" completes the testing process which reads out like a
thermometer. The Q.E.D. can be administered for pre-employment, random,
post-accident, reasonable cause, and follow-up testing.
HAIR test .... This
method of drug testing has been developed to determine when a history of drug
detection is desired. Analysis of the following drugs of abuse are
performed:
Cocaine (Crack) - Marijuana - Opiates -
Amphetamines - PCP
It takes approximately 5-7 days from the
time of drug use for the drug residue to be entrapped in the hair, sufficient
for harvesting.
Hair samples are initially screened using
radioimmunoassay. If the initial screen detects "positive" on any of the
drugs, the sample will be confirmed using GCMS, GCMS / MS before being reported
out as "positive", eliminating any false positives. Results are generally
reported out within 5-7 days of testing.
The shortest time period that can be
accurately evaluated is approximately 30 days, and the maximum time frame,
generally, is 60-90 days. The test does not go back in time to determine
drugs used on a particular day or week.
Because hair testing can detect drug use
for a longer period of time than urine testing, it is widely used in conjunction
with clinical studies, rehabilitative and counseling programs, child custody,
and court probation orders.
NIDA test (For DOT Regulated
Companies) .... By December, 1990, all American businesses
governed by federal DOT and USCG regulations were required to be in compliance
with the Drug-Free Workplace Act, 49 CFR Part 40 initiated by President Reagan's
1986 Executive Order 12564 and further defined in 46 CFR Parts 4, 5, and 16.
Affiliated with several nationally
recognized SAMHSA certified laboratories, we design and implement screening
procedures that ensure company compliance. Test results are accurate,
prompt, and legally acceptable.
NIDA / DOT
Substance Abuse screens test for:
Marijuana ● Cocaine ● Amphetamines ● Opiates ● PCP
NIDA 5 - for DOT employees:
Includes services of collection, lab testing, confirmation, and
MRO review of results
